AWS Solutions
If you are thinking of using Amazon Web Services (AWS) for your computing tasks, you may want to take a look at these TIPS.
Von Neumann Computational Cluster
The center owns a computer cluster, the von Neumann cluster, which is located in the Rettaliata Engineering building. The cluster has 16 compute nodes with 16 1.80GHz Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU cores and 32 GB of RAM per node. Nodes are connected with a Gigabit Ethernet network. Users are allowed 256GB of disk space.
The cluster is most appropriate for students and researchers just getting started with performing computations that require more than a single laptop or desktop. For groups that have their own cluster, it could play a supplementary role. The cluster is currently open to College of Science faculty and IIT affiliates sponsored by College of Science faculty.
The cluster is being operated by the Office of Technology Services. For technical issues please contact
rdc-support@iit.edu.
